smack about you when you're not around, thats not roughing it enough? No, they want to be able to try unsuccessfully to sleep on the rocky ground with huge spiders and insects of all kinds trying to get into their sleeping bags. They want to be devoured by mosquitoes that may be carrying the virus shipped over here with immigrants from the West Nile. If they have to urinate in the middle of the night, they have to struggle to get out from under their bug nets (if they were smart enough to bring them) and stagger away from the campsite in the black of night to pee somewhere in the bushes where any kind of animal, large or small, may be lurking or waiting to strike! Thats roughing it. Isn't vacation grand! Provided that we have time off from work and are able to enjoy it, lets look at what Long Island has to offer. Right off the bat its obvious that its proximity to Manhattan is a huge selling point! Manhattan is the center of the world. It is the number one tourist site on the globe, and for all of us who live on Long Island, its right in our own back yards! I spent the evening with friends in Greenwich Village recently, and it was amazing. I admit, I don't go to the city often enough. Aside from the architecture, restaurants and parks, New York City is the place to be for people-watchers like me. Long Island also has the north shore beaches looking out over the Long Island sound, a gigantic bay that separates Long Island from Connecticut. Then there are all the south shore beaches with the Atlantic Ocean stretching out further than the eye can see. The interior of Long Island has the finest Italian restaurants with the best pizza in the world, and the best bagels in the country as well. It must be its soft water supply that makes Long Island cuisine superior. Take the day and tour Long Islands unique wine country. See the woods, rural areas, parks and arboretums that this Island has to offer. Don't forget the Hamptons where all the entertainers and rich people go, and Montauk Point with its famous lighthouse. In fact, there are too many great things on Long Island to list here. The bottom line is this: You and the company you keep are what makes your down time special or not. If you don't take for granted all the richness God, or nature, or whatever you want to call it, has given you, you can have the best time of your life right here and right now. Vacation is all in your head.

Trademarks identify either a product or a service so that the consumer knows that they originate from the same source. In general terms, consumers identify products or services by either their trademarks or trade names.
For example, you may prefer drinking Poland Spring water sneakers and when you go to the supermarket for bottled water, you identify and select this brand of bottled water based on its trademarked name. Trademarks can also be used for services. H&R Block provides tax filing and accountant services and in general doesn't sell an actual product. The name H&R Block is a trademark name.
Trademarks can consist of a variety of words and symbols, for example:
·A design can be a trademark, one of the most famous designs is the Nike swoosh design
·A number can be a trademark, the number "4711" is a trademark identifying a cologne
·A slogan can be a trademark, some examples are: "Just Do It" (Nike), "The King of Beers" (Budweiser), and "Don't leave home without it" (American Express)
·A sound can be a trademark, the NBC chimes identify the NBC radio station
·Colors can be a trademark, John Deere's Green and UPS Brown are both trademarked by their respective companies
If you sell something or offer a service, you operate under a trade name. Your trade name may be the same as the name of your corporation, but, it doesn't have to be. If you operate as a "dba" (doing business as) or as a sole proprietor, that may be your trade name.
However, it is important to note that simply having a trade name, corporation name, or a "dba" does not necessarily give you any trademark rights. In a similar manner, having a website or domain name does not necessarily give you any trademark rights.
The only way to guarantee that you have trademark rights (in the United States) is to obtain a trademark through the United States Patent and Trademark Office (the "PTO").
When selecting a trademark, you do not have to select the name of your corporation. For example, General Mills sells several cereals (for example, Cheerios, Wheaties. Chex), each of these cereal names has their own trademark.
